The Top 5 Very Best Bath Towels

I was surprised to come across this line of towels several years ago at good ‘ol PB. They are made with organic, long staple (that’s good) Turkish (also good) cotton. Supersoft and fast-drying, they weigh in at a fluffy 550 GSM (grams per square meter). They currently come in 13 fashion colors. And they’re available in 4 sizes, plus a bath mat. This is also my budget pick on the list.

These can be described as “modern towels” because they are thinner, have rounded corners and a binding along their edges. They’re made of a silky soft Egyptian cotton and woven with more texture than a traditional terry towel. They also have a handy locker loop for hanging on hooks. They come in 10 colors and 4 sizes. Sidenote: men tend to like these towels.

#3 Super-Plush Bath Towels by Brooklinen
Soft and luxurious, these extra thick and absorbent towels come in at a whopping 820 GSM. Being this weight, they aren’t super quick to dry. They’re 100% Turkish cotton and come in 5 standard colors plus 5 limited edition colors. And they have a matching bath robe, which is enough to convince me. At this time, there is only one size and they sell in sets of 2.

#2 Resort Cotton Bath Towel by Frontgate
This towel appears at number 1 on a few top towel lists that I’ve seen. And for good reason. It’s extremely soft, plush and substantial. Each size towel is oversized. And at 700 GSM, it’s super absorbent. It comes in 23 colors and 4 towel sizes, plus 3 bath mat/rug sizes. Even with that amount of colors, I don’t find them to be as fashion-forward as even the Pottery Barn towel though. But thousands of happy customers beg to differ, just read some of their reviews.

Where do I start? This is the proverbial Cadillac of bath towels. It’s ridiculously soft, absorbent yet lighter than most terry towels.
